Milk Thistle

Description:

The principal ingredient of BEC Milk Thistle is Silybum marianum. It is the grain extraction of medicinal plant, Silybum marianum. As early as the 1970's, Silybum marianum has been used clinically to treat virulent hepatitis, and, in conjunction with other medicines, to treat liver cirrhosis. Silybum marianum stabilizes liver cells and the biomembrane of cells, and promotes protein synthesis and anti-fibrosis. It can noticeably improve liver functioning, protect liver cell membranes and promote the liver cell reclamation and regeneration. Silybum marianum is used to treat acute, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, liver poisoning and so on. Its curative effect on an alcohol fatty liver may be as high as 70%. Silybum marianum has also the following functions: it acts as an anti-oxident, it eliminates free radicals, counters inflammation.
